Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, this exuberant musical tells the story of a young girl with astonishing intelligence and powers as she triumphs over indifferent parents and a cruel headmistress - and learns that everyone has the power to change their story. She may be treated poorly by her parents but she finds support and encouragement in her teacher, Miss Honey. And while the headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and loves punishment for those that don’t follow her rules, Matilda has the courage and cleverness to be the saving grace that the students need.
“Matilda” is packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs, and an unforgettable little girl with an extraordinary imagination. Adults and children alike will be delighted by this story.
“Matilda” opens on Thursday, August 6.
The first weekend will have performances on Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The second weekend will have performances on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
